On campus positions will pay $10.15 per hour. With off campus positions, the employer decides the rate of pay but will not be lower than the Indiana minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. Most pay at least the IU minimum wage of $10.15 per hour.
To receive your work-study funds, you have told apply for and hold an eligible work-study position. You will be paid bi-weekly until your funding has run out.
No! Your work study money is money that you have earned and do not have to pay back any of it.
You are not required to take a work-study position. However, the only way to obtain your work-study funds is through an eligible work-study position.
Having the same position year after year is a possibility if you maintain eligibility and it is a good fit between you and the employer. However, your work study authorization form needs to be completed and resubmitted to your employer each year as it does not carry over.
